What’s the difference between Ready to Wear, Made to Measure and Bespoke?

Ready to Wear

While the term ‘ready to wear’ or ‘off the peg’ would generally refer to mass-produced clothing, I utilise my fabric offcuts that would normally go to waste to create items.

The stock I have fluctuates, as does the style, and each piece is a one-of-a-kind, unrepeatable, and available as such.

Made to Measure

The made-to-measure garments are made based on standardised patterns and adjusted after purchase by a tailor. This would mean sleeve and hem length.

Each piece is made to order with consideration to your height and proportions. This means that each garment will arrive at your door ready to wear straight out of the b

This is a great choice if you want to begin your journey of bespoke clothing without actually buying bespoke.

Bespoke

Bespoke is the true essence of British tailoring. You have a consultation with me about the garment you wish to commission, and we go into depth about how this will fit into your lifestyle and existing wardrobe. The choice of fabrics, pockets, and buttons is all up to you within set designs to make something that will truly be a wardrobe staple.

The pattern is then drafted to your specific measurements with the fabric being cut after. Two fittings are included to ensure that the fit is impeccable and turns heads, in a good way. Adjustments are included in the price.
