The Process of Bespoke
Bespoke means more than just a garment; it’s a collaborative dialogue between you, the client, and me, the tailor. Together, we consider the design, function, tradition, and individuality of each garment. Each piece is meticulously crafted from scratch, tailored precisely to your body, lifestyle, and sense of self.
Step 1: Consultation
We start with a conversation. You’re invited to share your ideas, needs, and inspirations. Whether you come with a clear vision or just a feeling you want to capture, we’ll shape the direction together—down to the fabric, silhouette, and finishing details.
Step 2: Pattern Drafting
Your unique pattern is drafted from measurements taken during your consultation. This isn’t an altered template; it’s a completely original pattern, designed to fit and flatter your specific proportions and posture.
Step 3: Fittings
We create a toile (a mock-up of your garment) and fit it in person. This is where the design is refined on your body—adjusting structure, shaping, and comfort until it feels exactly right. Depending on the complexity of the piece, there may be multiple fittings to ensure precision.
Step 4: Construction
Once the fit is perfected, the final garment is carefully constructed using traditional techniques and high-quality materials. Every seam, buttonhole, and lining is crafted with purpose and intention—built to last, and to be loved.
Step 5: Delivery
You leave with a piece that doesn’t just fit—it belongs. It reflects you. It carries care, time, and thought in every detail.
